CITIZENSHIP TRAINING CAMP – 2010

                I read … I do not understand

               I hear … I understand something

               I do … I understand everything

As this quote states, experience is the best teacher. One of the main objectives of citizenship training camp is to provide the campus the experience of living in groups, working in teams and to make them realize the importance of team work. The development of a country depends on education. Since education plays a vital role in bringing up a nation, the teachers must have sociability, so that they can work with the society. In order to develop sociability and to make ourselves good citizens of our nation, we, the student teachers of St. Charles college of education took part in the citizenship training camp from 8.2.2010 to 12.2.2010. The venue of our camping was our college campus. Everyday we had some routine works and some special events.

The students were divided into Four Main Teams namely Annai Teresa, Indira Gandhi, Kiran Bedi and Kalpana Chawla and each team was further divided into four sub-groups namely Kurinji, Mullai, Marutham and Neithal.
